Visit Dartmouth

Brixham has much to offer. Colourful fisherman’s cottages perch above the picturesque harbour around which seafood restaurants and gift shops jostle for attention.

The marina, the Breakwater and the numerous water based sports available make Brixham a boat lover’s paradise. It has one of the largest working fishing ports in thecountry, adding to the nautical feel. You can learn about the town’s maritime history in the Heritage Museum, visit the Golden Hind replica moored in the harbour, or simply watch the numerous boats coming or going.

Other things to see or do in Brixham include a visit to several local beaches, the seawater swimming pool at Shoalstone (summer only), woodland walks at Churston and the Napoleonic Fort and Country Park at Berry Head. This nature reserve forms part of the South West Coast Path with breath-taking views along the coastline.
